Engraving is an art form that has been in existence for hundreds of thousands of years. It is the practice of cutting a design onto a hard surface with a graver. For centuries, craftsmen would use engraving to embellish various forms of metalwork such as jewelry, suits of armor, and weaponry. With properly sharpened tools powered by only their hands and a hammer, engravers from antiquity could create beautiful and powerful works of art.
I strive to maintain that tradition by only using hand push and hammer & chisel engraving. Inspired by the elaborate engravings on firearms and other metalworks, my goal is to create unique, one of a kind engraved pieces that have relevance to the styles of modern time, while paying homage to its heritage.
