Wonderful mixed metal rectangle locket with a sterling silver front plate featuring a horse head. Circa early 1900s Art Nouveau, this antique locket was purchased from Spain, and shows the traditional scratching and wear consistent with age. Locket has not been tested, but is most likely made of rolled gold. (Gold plated over a base metal.)
The fabulous inside features two windows in the shape of horse hooves. Both frames have been refurbished and fitted with glass to hold hairwork on the right side, (blue) and a photograph on the left side (brown). Both frames sit securely in their pockets and the locket closes tightly with a satisfying click.
Measures approximately 1 in long from bail, and 0.75 inches wide. Includes 18inch rose gold plated rolo chain. I will send additional photographs set to the correct scale so you can replace if needed.
Listed for $850. This price includes hairwork and photograph insertion.
